Notice of Surface Water Treatment Technique Violation

ft worth water.jpg
A water treatment violation occurred by our wholesale water provider, the City of Fort Worth, when drinking water was not properly disinfected for a period time at the Eagle Mountain Plant Feb. 16 -17, 2015. Westlake
staff communicated with Fort Worth water officials, who said the water at the Eagle Mountain Plant during this time-frame has long since passed through our Westlake water tank, likely before Feb. 18. In addition, Westlake Public Works Department tested our water during routine monthly sampling on Feb. 19 and found the water to be up to standards, with negative results of coliform bacteria (disease causing bacteria).  For more information, click here. For a Q&A about this incident, click here. More information can also be found in a letter mailed with your utility bill. To view that letter, click here. For questions, please contact our Public Works Director Jarrod Greenwood at 817-490-5717.
