If you have received a violation for failing to update your driver's license upon moving to a new address, the citation will be considered for dismissal under the following conditions:
You must update your address with the Department of Public Safety within 20 business days from the date of the offense.
If you update the information via the internet, you MUST print the confirmation page, which lists the date of the correction with the current/previous address, and submit this to the Court.
If you update the information in person, the Department of Public Safety will provide you with a temporary license, which reflects the address change. A copy of the temporary permit MUST be submitted to the Court office.
The updated driver's license document and a $20.00 administrative fee is required prior to the information being submitted to the Judge for dismissal consideration.
