Functions of the Texas Student Housing Authority
In 1995, the Town of Westlake pursuant to Chapter 53 of the Education Code, Higher Education Authority Act created Texas Student Housing Authority (Texas Student Housing). Texas Student Housing Authority is a nonprofit, state-chartered corporation established to purchase and manage student housing facilities located near the campuses of major colleges and universities. The mission of TSHA is to provide scholarships for housing to graduates of Texas high schools and community colleges.
