Please join us on this Saturday before lunch for the second historical marker dedication in Westlake, presented by the Westlake Historical Preservation Society (WHPS). This short but meaningful program, first implemented in 2012 by the WHPS, highlights those sites in Westlake that have been identified as having strong historical roots in the development of Westlake and the surrounding Cross Timbers region. Come hear the story of Solana's roots, dating back to the late 1800s, and stay for lunch at one of our Solana restaurants after the program- right on the very site of the Shockey-Huffman homestead.
