You'll be experiencing a change in the traffic pattern in the westbound direction of Highway 170 between Highway 114 and Roanoke Road starting on Thursday, February 9th. Currently, all westbound traffic from 114 going to 170 is forced to exit onto Parish Lane and then on the frontage road to continue on Highway 170. This new traffic pattern will be implemented to allow the contractor to build the last portion of a new drainage system under the westbound frontage road. The new westbound 170 traffic pattern between 114 and Roanoke Road is described below starting with the closures needed to facilitate the final phase of the drainage system installation:
- CLOSURES (shown in RED in the graphic)
- SH 170 westbound frontage road between the Parish Lane westbound to eastbound u-turn lane and the Roanoke Road exit
- Parish Lane between the westbound and eastbound SH 170 frontage roads
- Parish Lane eastbound to westbound u-turn lane
- NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN (shown in GREEN in the graphic)
- SH 170 westbound main lanes
- Westbound SH 114 motorists will exit to westbound SH 170 and be able to continue on the main lanes until the Roanoke Road exit
- Exit Roanoke Road and proceed thru to continue on SH 170 westbound or turn left at Roanoke Road to continue onto eastbound SH 170 frontage road
- SH 170 westbound frontage road
- Westbound SH 170 frontage road traffic will enter the SH 170 main lanes on the new westbound Business 114/Byron Nelson Boulevard entrance ramp (can also turn right to access Main Street) or proceed to the westbound to eastbound u-turn lane at Parish Lane to be able to access eastbound SH 114/Schwab Way/Trophy Lake Drive
- Once on the westbound SH 170 main lanes, motorists will be forced to exit at Roanoke Road
- Motorists can proceed thru to continue on SH 170 westbound or turn left at Roanoke Road
