    Memorial run for Westlake's own Sawyer Davidson- an unforgettable 8-year-old second grader at WA our community lost to Medulloblastoma (brain cancer) in Dec 2016; Come on out and enjoy a beautiful day in Westlake to help fund pediatric brain tumor immunotherapy through the University of Florida Foundation's McKnight Brain Institute and then...continue your day at the Westlake Classic Car Show going on across the street from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Larry North parking lot.

  2. 8th Annual Westlake Classic Car Show; Proceeds to benefit the Westlake Historical Preservation Society.

    October 20, 2018, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Exit Solana Blvd off of SH 114 and travel one block south to Sam School Road

    Held annually on the third Saturday in October, the Westlake Classic Car Show is a great time to discover the Golden Era of the Automobile. This is a car show for vintage classic original or restored-to-original automobiles, trucks, and pickups for 1909-1959 models only. Each year the number of registrants continues to grow. Last year, over 80 cars were on display with over 600 in attendance. We hope you will make plans to come on out and enjoy the beauty of these classics and the fall weather in Westlake! And new this year - a special section just for our younger car show fans, a Kids Korral to include a pine car derby race, Westlake Fire Engine, & more activities.

  3. Big 10 College Night at Westlake Academy; Open to all Westlake families

    October 22, 2018, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ College Night will be held in the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) on campus; Closest entrace/parking via the middle drive, south of the pond.

    This will be yet another opportunity for any Westlake resident (regardless of school attending) to join WA families at this chance to hear about admissions requirements & processes for the Big 10 conference college night. Indiana University, University of Illinois, University of Iowa, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, University of Nebraska, and Purdue will present in a panel style and finish with a mini college fair.

  4. TxDOT Public Meeting for SH 114 Frontage Roads, Ramps, & Public Improvements

    October 23, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Walnut Grove Elementary School

    All interested citizens are invited to attend this Public Meeting, hosted by the Texas Dept. of Transportation (TxDOT), regarding the construction of SH114 Frontage Roads, Ramps & Public Improvements, located between FM 1938 (Davis Blvd) east to Dove Road in the Town of Westlake and City of Southlake, Tarrant County. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the public to view the proposed improvements and to comment on the proposed project. The meeting will be an open house format, allowing visitors to come and go at their availability. Written comments may also be submitted on or before Nov. 7, 2018, to Texas Department of Transportation, Attention: Tom Marquardt, P. E., Project Manager, 2501 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth, Texas 76133, to be included in the Public Meeting Record.     Join the Dallas Preservation Society on Saturday, October 27, to explore the Dealey House, right here in Westlake, as well as other Charles Dilbeck designed residences in Dallas. If you have never seen the home of former Mayor Scott Bradley & Kelly Bradley, we hope your schedule will allow the opportunity to tour this remarkable house in a distinctive setting.
