The EMS division is operated by the Westlake Fire Department, which is
a division of the Department of Public Safety. The
firefighter/paramedics of Westlake Fire Department are certified by the
State of Texas and operate under the medical direction of Dr. John
Ansohn. Dr. Ansohn is an Emergency Room Physician with the Baylor
Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. Our paramedics are
continously training with Tarrant County College on EMS cirriculums and
changes in the systems. Texas requires 80 hours of C.E. every two
years.
