The
Town of Westlake Department of Public Safety serves an area of
approximately 7 square miles. We currently run out of one station
that houses one ALS engine and one MICU ambulance. The department
is comprised of an all paid staff of crossed trained members consisting
of fire, police and paramedic certifications. The Westlake DPS
personnel are assigned to three 24 hours shifts, A shift, B shift, and
C shift. Each shift has a Lieutenant / Paramedic and two
Firefighter / Paramedics.
The department respondes to residential, rural, and business districts consisting of 9 high rise office buildings.
