Westlake is governed by a Mayor and a Board of Aldermen. Each of the five members is elected for a two-year term.
The Board of Aldermen appoints the Town Manager, establishes city policy, and serves as the legislative body of the Town. In this capacity, the Board also approves the city budget.
The Board holds its regular meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month. These meetings begin at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 2600 J.T. Ottinger Road.
