Town of Westlake is a master-planned community. All development in the town must adhere to a set of stringent requirements documented in the Westlake Code of Ordinances and, in certain instances, in planned development documents.

Pre-Development and Construction Meetings
Purpose
Pre-developments/Construction Meetings consists of members from the DRC. The DRC discusses the following as it  relates to development in the Town of Westlake:
  • Building Codes
  • Drainage
  • Fire Code
  • Parks and Open Space
  • Platting 
  • Roadways
  • Site Plans
  • Tree Preservation
  • Water and Sewer
  • Zoning

The DRC consists of person from multiple departments.

Request a Pre-Development Meeting
Pre-development meetings are every Tuesday. You may request a meeting by contacting the Development Coordinator at (817) 490-5738 or via email at .

Fees will be calculated per the Fees and Use Schedule.

Building Permit Applicants Seeking Admissions into Westlake Academy - Important Notice
On June 1, 201 the Board of Trustees updated our residency policy (1.01) for those seeking admissions into Westlake Academy. After Decemebr 31, 2015 any family who applies for admission to the school must reside within the town boundaries in order to apply for admission as a pimary boundary resident. 

A building permit will no longer qualify as a conditional residency category for admissions to the school while constructing a home in Westlake.
