The May 3rd election for Town Council places 1,2,3, and 5 has been cancelled upon receiving four unopposed applications for each opening. The application period for the election ran through February 14th, and has since been closed. The Town of Westlake is looking forward to their future contributions to the community.
What does this mean?
An unopposed application means no other candidates applied for the position up for election. In this case, all openings have a single applicant for their respective place opening.
